In May, MDC Campers & Caravans had the privilege of attending the Caravan Industry Association of Australia (CIAA) National Conference, a key event on the industry calendar each year. With a strong delegation of 10 MDC representatives present, the conference served as a vital opportunity to connect with industry peers, exchange insights, and engage in forward-thinking discussions about the future of caravanning in Australia.
This highly anticipated annual event is more than just a networking opportunity, it is a celebration of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Attendees participated in a wide range of seminars, workshops, and panel discussions, gaining valuable knowledge and inspiration to further enhance both individual and company performance within the dynamic and rapidly evolving caravanning sector.
Recognising Excellence at the National Level
One of the most memorable highlights of the conference is always the Awards Gala Dinner held on the final evening. This prestigious event honours outstanding contributions to the industry, and this year was particularly special for MDC.
We were incredibly proud to see two of our exceptional team members, Andrew Sloan and Wayne Chevis, nominated for the highly regarded RV Salesperson of the Year Award, proudly sponsored by Ultimate Business Solutions. After undergoing a rigorous nomination process and being interviewed by a panel of esteemed industry leaders, both Andrew and Wayne were selected as top three finalists for the award – an extraordinary achievement and a testament to their professionalism, dedication, and industry expertise.
Their selection as finalists reflects not only their individual talents but also the high standards and values that MDC upholds across our entire team. The representatives attending the conference, along with our broader MDC family, were thrilled to celebrate this recognition with them.
