What an unforgettable weekend it was at our very first MDC Muster, hosted at the breathtaking Montana on the Macalister in Victoria. This location was nothing short of perfection! It ticked off every requirement on our list, from stunning scenery to top-notch facilities. From the moment our vans rolled in, we knew this was going to be something special. Our host, Dave, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, even commenting that this was the best event ever held there, a compliment that made the weekend even more special and proud to be part of.
The event was packed with activities that brought joy, relaxation, and a touch of competition:
- Wine Tasting – Guests enjoyed sampling delicious drops from a local winery, a true taste of Victoria’s regional treasures.
- Massage Tent – A much-needed retreat where Naomi was kept busy all weekend easing weary muscles.
- The Big Bake Off – A highlight of the Muster, where creativity and culinary skills were on full display. The range of entries – both sweet and savoury – was nothing short of amazing AND SO YUM!
- Sweet winner: Scones cooked to perfection over hot coals – the perfect mix of outside crunch & soft & fluffy inside
- Savoury winner: Satay chicken jaffles, cooked in a jaffle iron, quickly became everyone’s new favourite snack.
The judges certainly had their work cut out for them, but what a fun (and tasty) challenge it was!
The true heart of the Muster was the people. It was inspiring to see MDC owners and like-minded travellers come together, forming new friendships and strengthening old ones. Every evening ended with laughter, fun, and connection:
- A lively trivia night around the fire
- A movie under the stars on the big screen
- A final night filled with a dinner, live band, and dancing the night away
These moments reminded us why we do what we do….bringing people together for shared experiences that create lifelong memories.
This first MDC Muster was everything we hoped it would be, and more. We kicked things off with a bang, and it’s only up from here. We can’t wait to continue building this community, creating even more incredible events, and sharing the journey with all of you.
